Along with the technological developments, the rapid development of medicine and the increasing awareness of individuals about health have extended the average life expectancy. This situation has led to an increase in the elderly population in our country as well as all over the world. In addition, as a result of the changes in the family structure, the social, psychological and medical problems and care needs of the elderly population have increased. “Elderly Care Technicians” play an important role in meeting these needs, evaluating the elderly person holistically, and providing care and rehabilitation. In our Aged Care Program, students will be able to work in public and private hospitals, nursing homes, nursing homes for the weak, day centers for the elderly, municipalities, Social Services and Child Protection Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations where elderly care services are carried out, in line with the theoretical knowledge and skills they have acquired during the two-year education period. .
Today, with the development of medicine, interest in more specific fields is increasing. One of these fields is Podology, which deals with foot health. Foot health has an important place in diabetic individuals, athletes, individuals with foot health problems or aesthetic concerns. Podologists; They are healthcare professionals who have the medical knowledge and skills to diagnose foot health-related problems, refer them to the relevant specialist when necessary, and work in collaboration with physicians to protect foot care and foot health.
In our Podology Program, students can take part in the sales and management of the production facilities of public and private hospitals, massage and beauty centers and companies that produce devices and goods related to foot health / walking, in line with the knowledge and skills they have acquired during the two-year education period.
As the Health Care Services Department, our main aim is to train employees who are loyal to ethical values, honest, disciplined, respectful to people and the environment, strong in communication, who can do their job in the best way and preferred in the sector. In line with these purposes, our students graduate by improving their theoretical knowledge and practical skills, given by our applied education curriculum and equipped laboratory, by our expert staff.
